CM in your Constituency scheme being implemented without political bias : Stalin

Chennai, Apr 1 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Tuesday informed
the State Assembly that ‘Ungal Thogudhiyil Mudhalamaichar’ (Chief Minister in
your constituency) initiative was being implemented in all constituencies without
any political bias after getting list of long pending projects from all the legislators.
Responding to AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition Edappadi
K. Palaniswami, who alleged that some pending projects proposed by them were
rejected on the ground that it was not financially viable or feasible under the scheme,
he said decisions on implementing those schemes were taken after a thorough and
detailed review based on the report from the respective District Collectors.
When Mr Palanaiswami said even if any alternative projects were suggested, they
were also not taken up under the scheme, Mr Stalin said all the 234 legislators were
asked to submit a list of 10 long-pending projects in their constituencies to the
Collectors of their districts.
After conducting review meetings every two months about the projects, the Chief
Minister after reviewing them, the projects which were financially viable were being
implemented under this pioneering scheme and these projects are being executed
without any political bias.

Karnataka: Govt revises office timings in heatwave-affected dists

Bengaluru, Apr 2 (UNI) The Karnataka government on Wednesday issued an order revising the working hours of government offices in nine districts due to the prevailing heatwave conditions.
According to the State Information and Public Relations Department, government offices in the seven districts of Kalaburagi division, along with Vijayapura and Bagalkot districts in Belagavi division, will operate from 8 am to 1.30 pm during April and May 2025.
The decision follows a proposal put forth by the Karnataka State Government Employees Association, considering the extreme weather conditions affecting the region. UNI BDN SSP.
