TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and MP Chamala lash out at BJP MP Etala Rajender

Hyderabad, May 12 (UNI) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud launched a scathing attack on BJP MP Etala Rajender, warning that Congress workers will not remain silent if the BJP leader continues to make derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Talking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, Mahesh Kumar Goud questioned Etala Rajender’s political conduct, alleging that his recent outbursts were driven by frustration over not being appointed BJP state president.

He accused Etala of contributing to Telangana’s financial decline during his tenure as Finance Minister under the BRS regime, and reminded the public of allegations related to Endowments Department land encroachments against him. "You were a minister under KCR and now criticize Revanth Reddy — you have no moral ground to do so," Goud said.

Slamming the BJP for its stance on the BC Bill, Goud stated that BC communities would not forgive the party's attitude and added that BJP leaders were obstructing Telangana’s development at every turn.

Backing Goud’s remarks, Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy also came down heavily on Etala Rajender, accusing him of shifting ideologies for personal ambition.

“From communism to the BJP’s right-wing, your shift is confusing, and it seems that your political compass is broken,” Chamala said.

He added that Etala’s attempts to insult CM Revanth Reddy were nothing but a ploy to gain favour within the BJP, noting, “Your problem lies within the BJP. Don’t drag our CM into it.”

Both leaders highlighted that under the Congress government, Telangana was progressing in education, healthcare, and job creation, and called out the BJP for trying to undermine this progress during a global economic downturn.

The TPCC made it clear that pointed criticism is welcome, but self-serving attacks driven by personal frustration will not be tolerated.
