Tripura CM proposes Rs 969 Cr projects for Animal husbandry

Agartala, Apr 16 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday proposed projects worth Rs 969 crore for making the state self-reliant in milk, egg, fish, and meat production while speaking at a virtual meeting of the High-Level Task Force on attaining self-sufficiency in milk, egg, meat, and fish production.
Besides Dr Saha, Minister of DoNER Jyotiraditya Scindia has also addressed the meeting of the Chief Ministers of other Northeastern states.
Dr Saha revealed that the per capita availability of eggs in Tripura is 87 eggs per person per year, the highest among North Eastern states, which average 25 eggs per person per year.
