Waqf Amendment Bill to manage and prevent misuse of properties: Jaiswal

Patna, Apr 3 (UNI) BJP state President Dilip Jaiswal said that the Waqf Amendment Bill is for efficient management and prevention of misuse of properties.
Jaiswal told news persons here on Thursday that the poor and backward Muslims were not getting benefits of the Waqf properties and the income of the properties was also constantly declining due to mismanagement.
Referring to the Sachhar Committee report, he said that the committee had also stressed the need for efficient management of the Waqf properties. He said that once this bill becomes law, there will be financial transparency, and revenue will also increase, which will reduce dependence on government assistance.
Responding to the criticism of the Bill by the Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly, Tejaswi Yadav, Jaiswal shared a viral video of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and said that Yadav himself had demanded a stringent law. The Modi government has now fulfilled the wish of Yadav.
" If his father's name was not there, no one would have known Tejaswi", he quipped, saying that Lalu Yadav is the foundation of Tejaswi's politics.
Jaiswal also elaborated on the programmes the BJP would be observing on the occasion of its establishment day.
