The team boarded a special train from Secunderabad to Thiruvananthapuram at 5 am on November 4.
The group had left for Secunderabad by train on October 31 as part of an educational tour and was scheduled to return on November 3 by a train departing at 2.30 pm. NORKA Roots' NRI Development Officers in Bengaluru and Chennai coordinated with Malayali associations in Telangana to ensure the necessary facilities for the stranded members.
Reservations for the return journey were secured following discussions with senior South Central Railway officials in Secunderabad, including Divisional Regional Manager R. Gopalakrishnan, Joint General Manager Satheesh Kumar and Commercial Inspector Syed Amaruddin. NORKA Roots also facilitated accommodation for the 91-member team with the support of Malayali organisations in Telangana.
