Akhilesh Yadav makes serious allegations regarding MLC elections in Fatehpur

Lucknow, Oct 23 (UNI) Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has made serious allegations regarding the voting in the MLC elections in Fatehpur.
He alleged that despite the presence of the Election Commission, the BJP and its allies allegedly came to the polling booth to loot the booths.
Yadav said in a statement released on social media on Friday, "It seems that after giving the Election Commission sleeping pills, these BJP workers and their allies have come to Fatehpur to loot booths at the MLC election polling booth."
The SP president also questioned the functioning of the Election Commission, asking, "Is today a holiday for the Election Commission?" He said that given the current circumstances, there is no point in making any appeal to the Election Commission.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the Samajwadi Party is recording such videos related to voting across the state. According to him, based on these videos, an FIR will be filed against officials who allegedly committed irregularities in the election system.
He clarified that action will be sought not only against administrative officials, but also against officials and employees associated with the Election Commission, if their role is found to be in the election system.
The SP chief stated that the party is taking these incidents seriously and will take further legal action based on the available videos and other evidence. Akhilesh Yadav concluded his statement by calling the entire incident "highly condemnable."
These allegations made during the MLC election voting are likely to once again heat up the political atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh. While the Samajwadi Party has raised questions about the alleged irregularities, there has been no response from the Election Commission regarding these allegations.
