AP: Bolt.Earth deploys 1.5 MW EV charging station in Vijayawada

Vijayawada, Nov 4 (UNI) Bolt.Earth, India’s largest EV charging network, has inaugurated a high-capacity EV charging station at P Qube Solutions in Vijayawada. With a total charging capacity of 1.5 MW, the project significantly expands the region’s EV charging infrastructure.
Located near the NH-16 Cross in Nunna, Vijayawada, the facility is strategically positioned to serve both local EV charging demand and the growing needs of intercity EV travel. The project brings together high-power DC fast chargers and multiple charging solutions designed for different EV categories, supporting the development of a more accessible and versatile charging ecosystem.
The deployment includes two 240 kW DC fast chargers, three 180 kW DC fast chargers, and one 60 kW DC fast charger to support cars, trucks, and buses, along with charging solutions for 2- and 3-wheelers, which includes one 6 kW three-wheeler fast charger, two 3 kW DC fast chargers for 2-wheelers and four 3.3 kW AC charging sockets.
As electric mobility gains traction across India, strategically located high-capacity charging infrastructure will play an important role in supporting the transition to electric mobility. Developments such as the P Qube charging station demonstrate how collaborations between charging infrastructure providers and site hosts can help expand charging access beyond established urban centers.
Commenting on the deployment, Jyotiranjan Harichandan, Founder, Bolt.Earth said, “Building a scalable EV charging infrastructure requires the right mix of technology, power availability and strategically located sites. Our deployment at P Qube Solutions brings these elements together in Vijayawada, with a 1.5 MW charging capacity and multiple high-power DC fast chargers.”
Jyotiranjan Harichandan said: “We are pleased to partner with P Qube Solutions, as we believe that such strategic collaborations are a crucial aspect of building a resilient and reliable charging infrastructure that supports the evolving needs of EV users and long-term growth of electric mobility in India.”
Speaking on the occasion, D Phani Prakash, P Qube Solutions said, “This project is rooted in our family’s vision and holds special significance for us. We chose to partner with Bolt.Earth as they provide fast-charging solutions across all major EV segments, from two- and three-wheelers to four-wheeler passenger cars. They handle everything from hardware and software to after-sales support under one roof, which is rare in the market.”
Prakash said: “It makes our experience seamless. This initiative highlights the growing opportunities emerging within the electric mobility sector, and we’re glad to be a part of this.”
