AP: GVMC publishes ward-wise voters' lists for public verification

Visakhapatnam, Sept 22 (UNI) The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has published ward-wise voters' lists for all 120 wards in its limits for public information and verification in connection with the GVMC General Elections-2026, Commissioner Ketan Garg said on Tuesday.
As per the electoral details published on September 22, a total of 18,29,966 voters are registered across the 120 wards, including 9,02,171 male voters, 9,27,676 female voters and 119 voters under the other category.
The Commissioner said the lists were prepared and published as per the schedule prescribed by the government at designated offices notified by the State Election Commission.
As directed by the State Election Commission, a survey will be conducted from September 23 to 25 through booth-level and designated officials to collect ward-wise details of SC, ST, BC and women voters.
The officials will contact residents at the ward level to collect the required information. Garg appealed to citizens to provide accurate details and cooperate with the officials for the smooth conduct of the survey.
According to the zone-wise data, Bheemunipatnam has five wards with 66,446 voters, Madhurawada seven wards with 1,49,452, East Zone 18 wards with 2,96,124, South Zone 16 wards with 2,17,817, North Zone 20 wards with 2,91,691 and West Zone 17 wards with 2,14,094 voters.
Gajuwaka has 19 wards with 2,98,229 voters, Aganampudi five wards with 69,796, Anakapalli six wards with 76,950 and Pendurthi seven wards with 1,49,367 voters.
The Commissioner urged citizens to cooperate with the concerned staff and provide the required and accurate information as part of the election-related survey.
