AP: Roadshow organized as prelude to CII Partnership Summit: Minister

Vijayawada, Sep 30 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for MSMEs Kondapalli Srinivas has said that the AP Government and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) jointly organized a major ‘Investment Promotion Roadshow’ in Mumbai on Wednesday to showcase the immense investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and to strengthen new partnerships.
The Minister asserted that this roadshow was organized as part of the Andhra Pradesh government's comprehensive strategy to attract investments to the state.
In a release here on Wednesday, Minister Kondapalli Srinivas said that he attended the event as the chief guest and highlighted that Andhra Pradesh possesses the necessary land, natural resources, superior infrastructure, seaports, and logistics networks required for industries.
He affirmed the state government's firm commitment to facilitating investments by implementing policies that are favorable to entrepreneurs.
“During this roadshow, the vast opportunities available in sectors such as BFSI & Fintech, textiles & apparel, pharmaceuticals & life sciences, chemicals & petrochemicals, ports & shipping logistics, food processing & FMCG, Global Capability Centers (GCC), data centers, and renewable energy were specifically highlighted,” the Minister revealed, stating that the government operates based on the '3S' concept—Speed of Doing Business, Service, and Stability.
“The roadshow served as a precursor to the 'CII Partnership Summit' scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13. Through this roadshow, the scope for prominent companies from Maharashtra to participate in the upcoming Visakhapatnam summit and invest in Andhra Pradesh has expanded significantly,” Minister Srinivas observed.

APPCB to explore alternative routes for heavy vehicles to reduce Visakhapatnam air pollution

Visakhapatnam, Sept 30 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) will coordinate with the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) and Regional Transport Authority (RTA) to explore alternative routes for heavy vehicles travelling from Gangavaram Port and the Steel Plant through Gajuwaka to reduce air pollution in the city.
