AP: Same examination personnel continued on duty despite reported irregularities: YSRCP Doctors Wing Chairman

Vijayawada, Oct 4 (UNI) Dr. Ambati Naga Radhakrishna Yadav, Chairman, YSRCP NTR District Doctors Wing, today sought immediate intervention of the Chancellor of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences over the reported continuation of examination personnel on duty despite media reports alleging serious examination irregularities.
He told the media that the Doctor Wing had already written to the Vice-Chancellor, NTRUHS, seeking prompt action and a thorough inquiry into the reported incidents. However, reports that the same personnel were subsequently continued on examination duties are a matter of serious concern and raise questions regarding the University’s examination supervision and accountability mechanisms.
Dr. Yadav has therefore urged the Chancellor to order an immediate, independent and time-bound administrative inquiry into both the reported irregularities and the decision to continue the concerned personnel on examination duties.

He has sought verification of CCTV footage, examination records, duty rosters and malpractice reports, with strict administrative or disciplinary action wherever any responsibility, negligence or procedural failure is established.
He stated that there can be no room for complacency in the conduct of medical examinations. “The credibility of NTRUHS examinations directly affects the academic standards of medical education and the confidence of students, parents and the public. Continuing examination responsibilities amid unresolved concerns, if confirmed, will warrant serious administrative scrutiny,” he asserted.
Dr. Yadav also called for stronger examination-centre supervision, rotation of examination personnel, surprise inspections and effective surveillance mechanisms to ensure that malpractice is prevented and that every student is assessed through a fair and credible examination system.
“This is not about targeting individuals. It is about accountability and protecting the sanctity of medical examinations. Once serious concerns are reported, the University has a responsibility to ensure that they are objectively examined and that public confidence in the examination system is not compromised,” Dr. Yadav noted.
