AP: Three poachers with country made gun arrested

Kakinada, June 23 (UNI) The Peddapuram sub division police, on a tip off from the SP Garikipati Bindu Madhav, intercepted a gang of poachers going on two motorcycles, near K Gopalapuram village outskirts and seized from them a country-made gun and a tin containing steel balls and gunpowder, police said here on Monday.
On seeing the police, one of the four-member gang fled leaving the others.

On interrogation, they confessed that they were going into a forest area for poaching wild animals.
The Gandepalli SI UV Sivanagababu and his team arrested the three poachers and seized two motorcycles, three mobile phones, and two torch lights.

The arrested are G Nagarjuna (29) of Gandepalli, M Rambabu (35) Nadigatla village Korukonda mandal, G Sathibabu (36) Gandepalli.

All the three were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody till July 7, police added.
