AP: TTD prepares action plan for NRIs to participate in Srivari Seva

Tirumala, May 24 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer J. Syamala Rao has prepared an action plan to develop 'Srivari Seva' overseas also as per the instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Rao, who conducted a virtual meeting with NRIs hailing from 14 countries here on Saturday, said that Srivari Sevaks from several states across the country from Kashmir to Kanyakumari have been providing excellent services to the devotees voluntarily and soon NRIs (Non-resident Indians) who are experts in various fields from all over the world are welcome to provide similar selfless services to the visiting pilgrims in Tirumala and Tirupati.

He said today Srivari Sevaks apart from providing services in various departments of TTD at Tirumala and in Tirupati are also taking part in various dharmic activities of TTD, including Srinivasa Kalyanams, Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavam, organised at different parts of the country.
With an aim to extend the quality of Srivari Seva, in the recent times several reforms have been brought while a few others are underway, he informed.
TTD is also contemplating the introduction of Professional seva in Srivari Seva in the departments of medicine, IT, engineering, planning, water management, food technology, architecture and town planning, he said.

Even the NRIs are coming forward to offer their expertise in the respective fields on a voluntary basis, he said.
Rao had earlier said the Srivari Seva voluntary system will be refined soon, and as a part of it Group Leader (Group Supervisor) system is being introduced to improve the efficiency of volunteer services.
Plans are in place to involve professionals from various sectors to enhance Seva quality, he informed.
New initiatives like “Go Seva” (cow service) are also underway, he said.
Later the NRIs have shared their ideas to offer their services in TTD.

The NRIs who participated in this meeting expressed their happiness that TTD has come forward to make the services of Srivari Sevaks universal.
Among NRIs who participated virtually Sri Surya Prakash from Germany presented a PowerPoint Presentation of their ideas about commencing Srivari Seva overseas.
While other NRIs comprising Doctors, IT professionals, Chartered Accountants, also shared their ideas.
TTD Additional Executive Officer Venkaiah Chowdary, FA and CAO Balaji, Chief PRO Dr T Ravi, Tirumala temple Deputy Executive Officer Lokanatham were also present.
