Telangana Cyber Security Bureau cracks data theft case; Four nabbed from AP

Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) cracked a cyber fraud of Data theft case by arresting four accused, all below 29 years, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, a police release said here on Saturday.
Based on the complaint from a Hyderabad resident and credible information, the bureau arrested all the four accused -- Patti Durga Prasad, Construction Engineer, resident of Shanti Nagar, Secunderabad (native of Rajam, Vizianagaram District); Jalem Chandrasekhar Prasad, AutoCAD Designer, residing at Vengal Rao Nagar, Hyderabad (native of Bhimavaram, West Godavari District); Pasala Praveen Kumar, Billing Engineer, resident of Rayanapadu, Vijayawada; and Peravalli Anil Kumar, MEP Manager, resident of Nagayalanka Mandal, NTR District.
Shika Goel, Director, Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau TG, in a release said that during interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in the offence. All accused were arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
It was revealed during the investigation that Chandrashekhar and Anil were current employees, while Durga Prasad was a former employee of the complainant company.
The accused conspired to establish a parallel business named M/s. Kraftmen Engineering Infrastructure, registering it under the name of Chandrashekar's father to mask their direct involvement.
They have secured the confidential client data, project designs, pricing structures, and strategic business information from their employer without permission to benefit their own venture.
Praveen Kumar used this stolen data to reach out to clients, Chandrashekar created unauthorised pool designs, and Anil Kumar diverted labour and resources from the complainant’s projects.
This deliberate act of corporate data theft, breach of trust, and diversion of business caused substantial financial and reputational loss to the victim company.
The bureau seized one Laptop, four Mobile Phones, five SIM Cards from the accused.
