AP: Vizag DRM inspects railway facilities at Ichchapuram, Palasa

Visakhapatnam, Oct 8 (UNI) Visakhapatnam Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Lalit Bohra today inspected railway facilities at Ichchapuram and Palasa, focusing on passenger amenities, staff facilities and infrastructure maintenance.
At Ichchapuram, the DRM inspected the railway station and railway colony and reviewed the facilities available to passengers and railway residents.
At Palasa, Bohra inspected the railway station, railway colony, railway hospital, RPF barrack, running room and Level Crossing Gate No. 362.
He reviewed the upkeep of infrastructure, passenger amenities, staff facilities and safety-related aspects.
During the inspection, the DRM noticed certain shortcomings relating to passenger amenities and facilities in railway colonies. He directed the concerned officials to take immediate corrective measures and ensure early rectification of the identified issues.
He also instructed officials to expedite pending works and maintain railway premises and facilities properly.
Representatives of railway users met the DRM at Ichchapuram and Palasa and submitted representations on various issues.
Bohra interacted with them and directed the concerned officials to examine the matters and take appropriate action.
Officials from the Commercial, Engineering and Electrical departments, along with other concerned railway officials, accompanied the DRM during the inspection.
