Bhubaneswar railway station poised for major passenger-friendly makeover

Bhubaneswar, Sep 16 (UNI) The redevelopment of Bhubaneswar Railway Station will introduce improved passenger circulation, upgraded platform facilities and enhanced amenities as part of efforts to transform it into a modern transportation hub, East Coast Railway General Manager Parmeshwar Funkwal said on Wednesday.
Funkwal reviewed the progress of the redevelopment during an inspection of the station, covering the concourse, platforms, and other key areas.
He directed railway officials and executing agencies to ensure quality and safety standards and complete the works within the stipulated timeframe.
The General Manager also stressed the need to minimise inconvenience to passengers during the redevelopment and ensure smooth movement through the station.
He interacted with officials and representatives of the executing agencies and reviewed the status of various infrastructure and passenger amenity projects.
The redevelopment is aimed at making the station more passenger-friendly and efficient, with better circulation and upgraded facilities for travellers.
