BMC To Conduct Siren Tests In South Mumbai On Oct 8, 9

Mumbai, Oct 7 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will conduct testing of prototype siren systems installed at two buildings in South Mumbai on October 8 and 9.
The sirens installed at the Old Secretariat in Fort and the Civil Defence College building near Cross Maidan will be sounded as part of a scheduled testing exercise, the civic authorities said on Wednesday.
The BMC in a press statment said that the exercise is part of a pre-planned test and is not related to any emergency or imminent threat.
Residents in Fort and nearby areas have been advised not to panic or draw any conclusions if they hear sirens during the testing period.

Govt land allocated for park and playground in Malegaon

Nashik, Oct 7 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has decided to allocate 0.57 hectares of government land at Soygaon within the Malegaon Municipal Corporation limits for the development of a park and playground.
The decision was taken by Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule following the directions of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
