NIA Opposed The Bail To Sachin Vaze In Antilia Case

Mumbai, Oct 7 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday opposed the bail granted to former Mumbai police officer Sachin Vaze in the Antilia bomb scare and Mansukh Hiren murder case.
The NIA told the Bombay High Court that the bail granted by the Sessions Court should be cancelled and referred to orders passed by various courts in support of its plea.
The High Court will hear the matter again on Thursday at 1500 hours.
The Sessions Court had earlier granted bail to Vaze, following which the NIA challenged the order before the Bombay High Court.
The High Court later stayed the bail order. The stay will continue until the next hearing.
Vaze, a former Assistant Police Inspector with the Mumbai Police, was dismissed from service by the Mumbai Police Commissioner under Article 311(2)(b) of the Constitution.
He is in NIA custody in connection with the Antilia bomb scare and the murder of businessman Mansukh Hiren.
