Centre extends CGHS empanelment of AYUSH hospitals till November 30

New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) The Centre has extended the validity of empanelment of existing AYUSH healthcare organisations under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) until November 30, 2026, and directed officials to complete the empanelment process of eligible institutions within the revised deadline.
In an office memorandum, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said the extension had been approved by the competent authority to allow existing CGHS-empanelled AYUSH healthcare organisations (HCOs) to continue providing services to eligible beneficiaries.
The order follows an earlier memorandum issued on July 9, concerning the empanelment of private AYUSH day-care therapy centres and hospitals through the Health Empanelment Module (HEM) portal.
All Additional Directors concerned have been directed to ensure completion of the empanelment process by November 30 in accordance with the prescribed guidelines and procedures.
The ministry has instructed officials to complete scrutiny of applications and documents, resolve pending queries and deficiencies, conduct physical inspections wherever required, execute Memoranda of Agreement (MoAs) and verify Performance Bank Guarantees (PBGs).
The directive also requires completion of all necessary HEM formalities and issuance of final empanelment approvals and notifications within the stipulated period.
The memorandum said that existing empanelled AYUSH healthcare organisations would continue to provide services to eligible CGHS beneficiaries during the extended period, subject to applicable CGHS guidelines, approved treatment rates, and contractual conditions.
The extension provides additional time for completing the empanelment process without interrupting services at existing approved institutions.
The order, signed by CGHS Director Dr Satheesh Y.H., has been circulated to empanelled AYUSH healthcare organisations and CGHS officials across cities and zones for necessary action.
The memorandum does not provide for any increase in treatment rates or relaxation of existing empanelment requirements.
