Cheating to lead to cancellation of D.El.Ed exam centre in Himachal

Dharamshala, Sep 20 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has designated 26 government and private institutions as examination centres for the D.El.Ed examinations scheduled in October-November 2026.
Board Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma has warned that any centre found involved in mass copying or violating examination norms will face immediate cancellation of its recognition without prior notice.
The board has made CCTV surveillance mandatory at all centres and directed them to preserve examination recordings for at least six months. The footage may be sought by the board in case of any complaint or suspected irregularity, and failure to produce it will invite action.
Dr Sharma said strict action would also be taken against examination staff if they are found helping candidates use unfair means or facilitating mass copying. Centre superintendents and examination in-charges have been directed to strictly follow board guidelines.
The board has also clarified that designation as an examination centre this year will not automatically guarantee the status in subsequent examinations. Future recognition will depend on the centre's performance, discipline and compliance with board norms.
Dr Sharma appealed to candidates to maintain examination discipline and refrain from using unfair means. The list of 26 centres and detailed notification has been uploaded on the board's official website. UNI AR CDS
