Chirayu Ayushman health coverage; Families earning above Rs 1.8 lakh may enrol with annual Premium

Panchkula, Oct 6 (UNI) The Haryana government has expanded the Chirayu Ayushman Bharat Yojana, enabling families with annual incomes above Rs 1.8 lakh to access cashless hospital treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per family each year by paying a graded annual premium.
Under the expanded framework, families earning Rs 1.8 lakh to Rs 3 lakh annually will pay Rs 1,500 per year. Those earning between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 6 lakh will pay Rs 4,000, and families with annual incomes above Rs 6 lakh will pay Rs 5,000.
Eligibility will be determined based on the annual income verified in the family's Parivar Pehchan Patra. (The Ayushman Bharat Haryana authority confirms that the Chirayu scheme was initially launched for families with annual incomes up to Rs 1.8 lakh, and later extended to those earning between Rs 1.8 lakh and Rs 3 lakh with an annual payment of Rs 1,500. The registration and payment portal will be open from September 15 to November 30, 2026. The new policy period will run from November 1, 2026, to October 31, 2027., 2027.
The government stated that 47,547 families in the Rs 1.8 lakh to Rs 3 lakh annual income category have already benefited from the scheme.
The state reported that the Ayushman Bharat Haryana Health Protection Authority has provided treatment to 40,27,391 beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and Chirayu Haryana.
It reported that claims totalling 617.45 crore have been settled and 1.42 crore PM-JAY/Chirayu cards have been issued. The number of empanelled hospitals stands at 1,307.
Under the scheme, eligible families can receive cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals up to the annual limit. The Haryana authority states that the Ayushman framework provides health coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for eligible beneficiaries.
