CJP founder Dipke vows fresh protest, alleges police exercise intimidation tactics against protesters

Nagpur, Oct 11 (UNI) Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Sunday vowed to launch another protest against the Narendra Modi government, alleging that Delhi Police denied him an opportunity to speak to his family after his arrest and used intimidation tactics against protesters.
Speaking to reporters after returning home following the death of his grandmother, Dipke claimed that police did not allow him to make a phone call to his brother despite repeated requests.
He alleged that he was not even permitted to speak to his family when his grandmother passed away.
Dipke said he had asked Delhi Police to let him use his mobile phone to retrieve his brother's number, as he could not remember it, but was denied the facility even for two minutes.
He also questioned the circumstances of his arrest and alleged that due legal procedures had not been followed.
Stating that no bond had been signed by him, Dipke said he would return to the streets to protest against what he described as the dictatorship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah.
He alleged that roads had been closed and metro services suspended in Delhi to protect Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Questioning his arrest from an aircraft, he asked whether he and other protesters were being treated as terrorists.
Referring to the alleged lathi-charge on protesters, Dipke claimed that young people and women were being beaten and warned that the situation could worsen if police continued to act on such orders.
He accused the Centre of attempting to suppress dissent and alleged that police personnel accused of misconduct were being rewarded with promotions.
Invoking the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Dipke asserted that he would not be intimidated by arrests and would continue his agitation against the government.
“Even if you put me in jail a hundred times, I will not tolerate your dictatorship,” he said.
