Maha: Aaditya & Tejas Thackeray take to streets after police crackdown on CJP protesters

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Tension gripped the Dadar area here today as high-voltage clashes erupted between Mumbai Police and Shiv Sena (UBT) workers outside the party headquarters, Shiv Sena Bhavan.
The unrest began after Mumbai Police denied permission for a demonstration called by CJP near the Shivaji Park area, mirroring protests in New Delhi. As authorities initiated a crackdown and detained demonstrators, Yuva Sena workers gathered outside Shiv Sena Bhavan to express solidarity, leading to a tense standoff.
The situation escalated dramatically when party leaders Aaditya Thackeray and Tejas Thackeray rushed to the scene. Protesting the police action, Aaditya Thackeray physically blocked a police vehicle, declaring that it would not be allowed to move until all detained Shiv Sainiks were released. Aaditya Thackeray climbed onto the police van during the intense confrontation.
Strongly condemning the police crackdown, Aaditya Thackeray lashed out at the administration, warning of statewide protests. "This was a peaceful movement, but an attempt was deliberately made to disrupt it," he stated, adding that the ruling authorities' "bullying" would not be tolerated and accused the police of attempting to breach Shiv Sena Bhavan.
Heavy police deployment has been maintained around Dadar and Shivaji Park to bring the situation under control, while the political fallout from the detentions continues to intensify.
