Maha: Shiv Sena (UBT), MNS workers stage massive demonstration outside Shivaji Park Police Station; protests to continue

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Political temperatures soared in Mumbai today when MNS leader Amit Thackeray and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray arrived at the Shivaji Park Police Station, Dadar in central Mumbai, following high-voltage protests against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar.
A charged atmosphere prevailed outside the police station as workers from both the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and the Thackeray faction raised vociferous slogans against the police action and the election machinery.
Following discussions with the police authorities, Aaditya Thackeray announced that the detained protesters would be released. However, he made it clear that the political agitation against CEC Gyanesh Kumar is far from over.
Declaring that the fight will continue unabated, Thackeray announced plans for renewed protests, stating that further details regarding the upcoming demonstrations will be shared via social media, setting the stage for renewed political confrontation in the metropolis.
