CJP launched initiative to enhance organisation in Tripura

Agartala, Nov 4 (UNI) The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has launched an initiative aimed at enhancing its organizational foundation in Tripura and uniting the youth around a range of public interest topics.
The organization intends to advocate for issues such as unemployment, healthcare services, the education system, electricity-related challenges, and other concerns impacting the state’s residents. However, it has clarified that it will operate as a fully non-political pressure group without any direct ties to political parties.
While addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Sheikh Sahiluddin Shah, the National Coordinator of CJP, elaborated on the organization’s plans and the direction it intends to pursue in Tripura. He mentioned that the objectives of the visit included establishing an organizational framework in Tripura and discussing future initiatives with local youths and volunteers.
He indicated that the organization has been conversing with volunteers and regional leaders across various states to broaden its outreach. The aim, he stated, is to evolve the organization from a social media-oriented platform into a proactive grassroots public forum.
Highlighting the current challenges facing Tripura, Sheikh Shah stated that unemployment continues to be one of the significant issues in the state. He also noted deficiencies in healthcare services, difficulties within the education system, disruptions in electricity supply, and overall development concerns.
In response to accusations that the organisation is against the BJP, Sheikh Shah explained that CJP had shown support for certain protest initiatives due to shared concerns regarding issues such as electoral reforms.
However, he clarified that this support did not imply an alliance with any political party. He asserted that the organisation would uphold its independent stance regardless of which party is in control.
Instead, it will focus on electoral reforms and safeguarding the democratic and voting rights of citizens. He expressed worry that any circumstances which undermine individuals' voting rights would erode the foundational principles of democracy.
He further asserted that the occurrence of governments being altered through political defections and what he referred to as horse-trading since 2014 has weakened the democratic framework of the country.
Stating that the organization has received an encouraging response in Tripura, Sheikh Shah indicated that approximately 7,000 to 8,000 volunteer registrations have been obtained from the state via its registration procedure. The organization plans to utilize this positive response to establish a more robust organizational network throughout Tripura.
