Commemorative Special Postal Cover launched to mark the Maha Kumbhabhishekam of Madurai Meenakshi Sundareshwarar Temple

Chennai, Sep 21 (UNI) A Special Cover was released by the Department of Posts on Monday to mark the Maha Kumbhabhishekam of the world famous Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundareshwarar Temple in Madurai held a few days back.
It was launched to commemorate this significant spiritual and cultural event, a PIB release said.
The function was presided over by Neeraj P S, Director, Postal Services, Southern Region, Madurai, who released the Special Cover and it was received by Ms.Rukmani Palanivelrajan, Temple Chief Trustee, on behalf of Chellathurai, Temple Joint Commissioner / Executive Officer.
The release of this Special Cover is a fitting tribute to the historical, spiritual and cultural significance of Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundareshwarar Temple, one of the most revered and iconic landmarks of Madurai.
