Crazy Cock Indian Single Malt enters Bengaluru Duty Free

Bengaluru, Oct 23 (UNI) Crazy Cock Indian Single Malt Whisky has entered Bengaluru Duty Free with its Madhuca I expression, showcasing the indigenous mahua heritage through contemporary whisky-making alongside Six Brothers Mahura, a spirit made from mahua flowers.
The showcase brings together two premium spirits that explore the cultural significance and evolving role of mahua in India's modern spirits industry.
Crafted by South Seas Distilleries, Crazy Cock Madhuca I undergoes maturation in ex-brandy and ex-bourbon casks before being finished in ex-Mahura casks, incorporating the distinctive character of the indigenous ingredient into the whisky.
The expression combines floral and earthy notes with layers of fruit, spice and oak, reflecting an approach that blends Indian ingredients with contemporary single malt craftsmanship.
Madhuca I has received a Gold Medal at the World Whisky Masters 2026 and secured a top-three ranking at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) in the UK in 2026, according to the company.
The showcase also features Six Brothers Mahura, which draws on the longstanding cultural and traditional significance of mahua flowers. The spirit is made from mahua flowers and double-distilled in copper pot stills.
Together, the two expressions highlight the growing exploration of indigenous Indian ingredients in premium spirits, bringing traditional knowledge and contemporary distillation techniques into a modern format.
The company said the showcase at Bengaluru Duty Free offers travellers an opportunity to discover different interpretations of mahua, from its use in a mahua cask-finished single malt whisky to a spirit crafted directly from the flowers.
Crazy Cock Madhuca I and Six Brothers Mahura are available at Bengaluru Duty Free, it added.
