Crowwd raises Rs 2.5 cr to scale wealth-tech platform

New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Crowwd, an investing platform built around behavioural personalisation, has raised Rs 2.5 crore in an angel round at an approximate valuation of Rs 50 crore, as it moves from an investor-focused social community towards a wealth-tech platform.
The round attracted more than 30 investors, including Innov8 founder Dr Ritesh Malik, Three Words Capital, Sachin Panwar, YogaCleanAir co-founders Deepak Raina and Gaurav Nagar, France-based Hexa Startup Studio, Dr Lal PathLabs Independent Director Somya Satsangi and Share India Securities Managing Director Sachin Gupta.
The company is preparing to launch an in-app mutual fund distribution platform, bringing investment access directly into its existing social and content experience. Crowwd is an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor.
It plans to subsequently acquire and integrate a brokerage platform, expanding its offering to include investment access, financial content and investor community features.
At the centre of the platform is its proprietary "Investor DNA" framework, which maps investors into six behavioural profiles and seeks to personalise the investing experience based on their investment patterns.
"Crowwd began with a simple question: what would investing look like if the investor came first? We have built the community and the behavioural framework; the next step is putting investment access behind it," said Ajitesh Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, Crowwd.
The fresh capital will be used to develop wealth-tech infrastructure, scale mutual fund distribution, acquire and integrate a brokerage platform and strengthen technology, compliance and operations.
Mutual fund distribution will form the initial core of its revenue model, complemented by broking services through partners and private-market access on an introducer basis.
Crowwd also offers access to international investment opportunities through Indian funds investing in overseas markets.
The company said its next phase would focus on product execution, investor engagement and building a capital-efficient wealth-tech business combining investment access, financial content and behavioural personalisation.
