Delhi Govt deploys 14 CATS ambulances in West Delhi’s dense areas to provide quick response in medical emergencies

New Delhi, Oct 22 (UNI) In a step towards strengthening emergency healthcare services, the Delhi Government has deployed 14 Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS) ambulances across West Delhi on the directions of Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh.
These CATs ambulances will help improve availability and accessibility of emergency medical assistance across the West District and particularly its densely populated neighborhoods and areas spread over a large geographical expanse.
These ambulances will cover Vikaspuri, Uttam Nagar, Nangloi, Ranhola, Dichau Kalan and several other parts in West Delhi, helping ensure that emergency medical assistance reaches patients more quickly.
These ambulances will be stationed at strategic locations, near the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, dispensaries and bus terminals.
This will help these emergency vehicles respond to calls from nearby areas and reach patients requiring urgent medical attention.
The availability of these ambulances across West Delhi is expected to strengthen the emergency response network and improve access to pre-hospital medical assistance.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to accessible and responsive healthcare, Delhi Health Minister Dr Singh has said that strengthening emergency services remains an important part of the broader effort to improve public healthcare delivery across the national capital.
Meanwhile, these areas concerned are beset with challenges, including narrow lanes, parking issues, and many other on-ground problems, that make the traffic movement and accessibility of vehicles to deeper locations challenging.
During a medical emergency, immediate help is what changes the situation, and the ambulances that have been deployed now, are expected to address the existing challenges.
