Governor flags off ‘Sankalp Rath Yatra’ in Kasauli, calls for collective fight against drug abuse

Solan, Oct 3 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta on Friday flagged off the ‘Sankalp Rath Yatra’ from Kasauli, calling for a united societal effort to combat the growing menace of drug abuse and protect young people from addiction.
The awareness campaign, organised by the Utishtha Bharat Sewa Trust, will travel through local communities to mobilise public participation and raise awareness about substance abuse.
Addressing the gathering, Gupta said Kasauli, known for its colonial heritage, scenic surroundings and military history, should remain associated with tourism and natural beauty rather than illicit drug activity.

Major fire erupts at Tata Projects workers’ colony near Lucknow airport

Lucknow, Oct 6 (UNI) A major fire broke out at the Tata Projects workers' colony, located near the Laxman Chowk area, approximately 800 meters from the Choudhary Charan Singh International Airport, at around 6.55 am on Tuesday.
