Harsh Malhotra pays tribute to Kedar Nath Sahni on death anniversary

New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra on Saturday paid floral tribute to former Delhi BJP president and former Chief Executive Councillor of Delhi, Kedar Nath Sahni, on his death anniversary, recalling his long organisational and public service.
Malhotra paid tribute to Sahni at the Delhi BJP state office, where Sahni's son Pradeep Sahni, family members, senior party leaders and workers also remembered the former leader and his contribution to the organisation.
Among those present were former MLA Ram Bhaj, former Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta, MLA Harish Khurana and state office-bearers Vishnu Mittal, Yogita Singh, Rajesh Bhatia, Praveen Shankar Kapoor, Sarika Jain, Ranjit Kashyap, Kailash Jain, Manoj Kumar, Nitin Tyagi and Amit Gupta.
Remembering Sahni's political journey from the Bharatiya Jana Sangh to the Bharatiya Janata Party, Malhotra said his life represented organisational dedication, discipline and integrity.
"The life of Kedar Nath Sahni Ji was an embodiment of organisational dedication, honesty, discipline and service to the nation. His principles will continue to inspire BJP workers forever," Malhotra said.
He said Sahni played an important role in strengthening the organisation after the BJP was established in 1980 and helped establish its organisational values.
Malhotra recalled Sahni's punctuality, integrity and commitment to every responsibility assigned to him, saying he had set high standards of morality, simplicity and discipline in both public and organisational life.
He also highlighted Sahni's contribution towards safeguarding the interests and rehabilitation of Hindu families displaced from Jammu and Kashmir.
"His entire life stands as an example of dedication to national service, organisational commitment and social responsibilities. The ideals established by him continue to guide every worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party even today," Malhotra said.
The Delhi BJP president said Sahni's simplicity and commitment to the organisation would continue to be remembered by party workers.
