Haryana asks govt-aided colleges to register with NDLI

Panchkula, Oct 4 (UNI) The Haryana Higher Education Department has asked all government-aided colleges in the state that have not yet signed up for the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) to finish the registration process as soon as possible.
In a communication addressed to the principals of all government-aided colleges, the Directorate General Higher Education said that institutions had earlier been asked to obtain NDLI institutional membership and to inform the department after completing the process.
The department said it noticed that while some colleges had signed up, others still needed to finish the process. The remaining colleges have now been asked to register as soon as possible and send confirmation to the department.
Colleges that have already registered have also been directed to ensure that the required information regarding their membership has been conveyed to the department.
The latest directions follow an earlier communication dated January 21, 2025, in which government-aided colleges were asked to obtain institutional membership of the digital library.
The National Digital Library of India is an online collection and search platform for educational and learning materials, serving school and college students, researchers, job seekers, and lifelong learners.
NDLI provides access to resources across many subjects and academic levels and supports content in multiple languages. Its interface supports 10 popular Indian languages, and the platform is also designed to help learners with disabilities. It also offers special services for higher education, research, and exam preparation.
The platform also gives access to some copyrighted academic materials through national licenses, along with other educational collections available through its combined search system.
