Haryana: Jhajjar Police arrest Madhya Pradesh man in cyber fraud case involving Rs 1.48 lakh

Jhajjar, Oct 11 (UNI) Jhajjar Police have arrested a Madhya Pradesh resident in connection with an online fraud in which Rs 1,48,001 was allegedly withdrawn from two bank accounts after a complainant’s mobile phone was hacked.
The accused has been identified as Lokesh Suryavanshi, a resident of Alwada Khedi village in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, police said.
According to Inspector Darshan Singh, SHO of the Cyber Crime Police Station, Jhajjar, a resident of Mandothi village had reported that his mobile phone was hacked on September 11, 2026. Subsequently, Rs 49,000 was withdrawn from one bank account and Rs 99,001 from another through online fraud.
A case was registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Jhajjar, and an investigation was launched. During the probe, bank records linked to the Rs 99,001 transaction helped investigators identify the account holder as Suryavanshi.
The accused was questioned during the investigation and arrested based on the evidence, police said. He was produced before a court after a medical examination and sent to judicial custody.
Police said further investigation was underway to identify and apprehend other possible accused in the case. The action was taken under the directions of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Faisal Khan. UNI KK SS
