Respect & empowerment of women foundation of 'Ram Rajya': UP CM Yogi

Balrampur, Oct 11 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that ensuring women's dignity, safety and self-reliance was essential to establishing Ram Rajya, noting that the worship of Maa Bhagwati must be reflected in society's commitment to respecting and protecting women.
Yogi stated, "If women receive respect, security and self-reliance, no force can prevent the establishment of Ram Rajya. The true meaning of worshipping Maa Bhagwati is also that society remains committed to respecting and protecting every woman. Before 2017, every fifth girl in the state would drop out of school midway through her education. Schools lacked facilities such as toilets and drinking water. Today, the state provides 1.60 crore children with two sets of uniforms, bags, books, sweaters, shoes, and socks every year. Education of girls and self-reliance of women are priorities for our government."

He was addressing a programme for distribution of study tables and blessing letters under 'Shiksha Ki Udaan' initiative, organised at Devipatan Mandir complex on the occasion of Pratipada of Sharadiya Navratri and International Day of the Girl Child. He applied tilak to nine girls representing the nine forms of Navdurga, draped them with chunaris and presented them with chocolates.

While honoring the girls, he remarked, "Indian culture has a tradition of worshipping women's power. Navratri is an opportunity to strengthen this resolve." He extended Navratri greetings to the state's people and called on them to celebrate Lord Ram's victory on Vijayadashami with grandeur
CM stated, "After forming the government in 2017, I asked why such a large number of girls were dropping out of school. Initially, the distance to schools was cited as the reason. When a team was constituted to investigate the matter, it found that schools lacked even basic facilities like toilets and drinking water. After this, the government issued instructions to build separate toilets for boys and girls, ensure drinking water, and improve the quality of the mid-day meal. At that time, 60 per cent to 70 pc of girls went to school barefoot. Many children did not even have sweaters during winter. Government initiated arrangements to provide children with uniforms, sweaters, shoes and socks, bags, books and other facilities."
Yogi stated, "The condition of government schools is being transformed through Operation Kayakalp. Schools are getting smart classes and digital libraries, along with better flooring and furniture. Children who once had no access to computers are also becoming connected with modern education."
He appreciated Divisional Commissioner and district administration for distributing study tables in the aspirational district. He stated, "The dream of a developed India will be realized only when the benefits of education, healthcare, employment, agriculture and self-reliance reach every section of society without discrimination."
CM stated, "Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, the financial assistance will be provided in the name of woman head of the household. She will also have ownership rights over the house. Under the Ujjwala Yojana, gas connections are being provided in women's names. Women members of families have received ownership rights in Gharounis provided to over one crore families. The construction of toilets in over three crore households is also a campaign to protect women's dignity. At present, 1.10 crore families are being provided an annual pension of Rs. 12,000 under the old-age pension, destitute women pension and Divyangjan pension schemes."
CM stated, "Mata Kaushalya, Janaki, Shabari, Devaki, Yashoda, Draupadi, Maitreyi and Gargi are symbols of the capabilities of Indian women. Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar oversaw the restoration of numerous temples, including Kashi Vishwanath, Somnath and Kedarnath. Rani Lakshmibai fought against the British at the age of 25 and laid down her life at 26. Avantibai Lodhi, Uda Devi Pasi and Jhalkari Bai also struggled for the country. With the framing of the Constitution in India, women were granted the right to vote on an equal footing with men."
Yogi inaugurated an exhibition featuring various departments by cutting the ribbon. He inspected stalls set up by the Agriculture, Horticulture, Silk Development, Parag Milk and Krishi Vigyan Kendra departments.
At the Virat Kisan Mela, he handed over keys to farmers under the Custom Hiring Center initiative and distributed pesticide spraying equipment. He stated, "National Saryu Canal Project has been completed. Expanding its branches will accelerate agricultural development. The agriculture fair will provide farmers with an opportunity to understand new technologies and innovations."
Yogi encouraged children from Basic Education and Kasturba Gandhi schools by providing them with study tables. He presented letters of blessing and stationery kits to Heeralal, Archana, Kajal, Prabhu Jaiswal, Nisfa, Ganesh, Chandni, Shalu, Baby, Rudrani, Sania and Sudha. The team distributed tracksuits to outstanding students who participated in national competitions. The children also presented CM Yogi with a published book of poems they wrote.
Tulsipur MLA Kailash Nath Shukla stated, "The worship of girls during Navratri and honouring of talented children at Devipatan Mandir complex are examples of Sanatan tradition. CM Yogi has encouraged the children and boosted their enthusiasm."
He expressed gratitude to CM Yogi on behalf of the region and district. UNI MBD NST
