Haryana: R.K.S.D. Hindi Day celebrated with pomp in evening session of college

Kaithal, Sep 15 (UNI) R.K.S.D. Hindi Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pomp by the Hindi Department in the evening session of the college on Monday.
On this occasion, students participated enthusiastically and displayed their talent brilliantly on Monday. Under the programme, poetry recitation competition, speech competition and poster making competition were organised.
The programme started with lighting of the lamp and offering flowers at the feet of Goddess Saraswati. Students expressed their love, respect and feelings towards Hindi language through their creative presentations.
While giving information to the students about the importance of Hindi language, Harinder Gupta said that Hindi is not only a medium of communication but is the language of our culture, values, identity and pride. He encouraged the students to increase use of Hindi.
The programme was staged by Hindi Department Head Dr Rajeev Sharma. Along with conducting the stage, he also performed an impressive recitation of his self-written poem.
In the poetry recitation competition, Vishal got first place, Mahi got second place and Purnima got third place.
In the speech competition, Purnima got first position, Simran got second position and Muskaan got third position.
In the poster making competition, Shivani got first place, Muskaan got second place and Sweety got third place.
Dr. Role of jury in poetry recitation competition played by Sunil Shyokand and Dr. Manika Gupta.
Dr. Asha and Prof. Renu Jagda were present as judges in the speech competition. Dr. Sanyogita and Prof. Nitika Gaba played the role of jury in the poster making competition.
At the end of the programme in his address to the students, Principal Dr Gagan Mittal said that they should not limit themselves to studying Hindi only as a subject, but should also adopt it in their daily life and behaviour. He made the students pledge to use Hindi widely in their life. He also congratulated and congratulated the Hindi department for the successful event.
