Haryana to step up stenotypists’ pay where junior clerks draw higher salaries

Panchkula, Oct 22 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to increase the pay of eligible stenotypists, with junior clerks receiving higher salaries after additional increments, subject to applicable rules.
In a memorandum, the Finance Department referred to its June 30, 2026, circular that granted additional increments only to clerks.
The department said implementing the increments could cause a junior clerk to earn more than a stenotypist, even when both share the same seniority.
To address such disparities, the government has decided to increase the pay of the affected stenotypists in accordance with the rules.
The department directed administrative secretaries, heads of departments, divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners, sub-divisional officers (Civil), and other authorities to fully implement the decision and ensure strict compliance.
