Haryana: Wanted criminal with nearly 20 cases arrested with illegal weapon in Nuh

NUH, Oct 8 (UNI) Nuh police have arrested a wanted criminal allegedly carrying an illegal firearm, with police claiming that nearly 20 cases of theft, cattle slaughter and Arms Act violations are registered against him across Haryana and Rajasthan.
The accused, identified as Rahul, son of Akbar, a resident of Palla village under Sadar Nuh police station, was arrested by the Ferozepur Jhirka CIA staff during a raid based on specific information, police said.
A .315-bore country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession, according to police. A case under the Arms Act has been registered at Sadar Nuh police station.
Police said Rahul was also wanted in a case registered at Kasola police station in Rewari district.
According to a police spokesperson, a CIA team led by in-charge Mahender Kumar was patrolling in the Sadar Nuh police station area when it received information about the accused's presence with an illegal weapon. Acting on the input, the team conducted a raid and apprehended him.
Police records show that Rahul has been named in around 20 criminal cases registered at police stations in Nuh, Palwal, Bhiwadi, Tijara, Khairthal, Kishangarh Bas and Neemrana in Alwar, Faridabad, Rewari and Mahendragarh.
The cases include allegations related to cattle slaughter, theft, Arms Act violations and attempted murder, police said. Further investigation is underway.
