Himachal CM announces 4,000 teacher appointments in six months

Shimla, October 3 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday, announced that 4,000 more teachers would be appointed in the state within the next six months, saying education, healthcare and strengthening the rural economy remained key priorities of the government.
Addressing a public gathering at Nogli in Rampur Assembly constituency of Shimla district, Sukhu said more than 10,000 teachers had already been recruited during the tenure of the present government.
He said more than 150 CBSE schools had been opened across Himachal Pradesh to provide quality education closer to the homes of students, particularly those in rural areas.

Major fire erupts at Tata Projects workers’ colony near Lucknow airport

Lucknow, Oct 6 (UNI) A major fire broke out at the Tata Projects workers' colony, located near the Laxman Chowk area, approximately 800 meters from the Choudhary Charan Singh International Airport, at around 6.55 am on Tuesday.
According to airport officials, upon receiving the information, the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) team responded immediately and dispatched a Domestic Fire Tender (DFT) to the scene.

Punjab govt moves SC against HC-ordered CBI probe into graft allegations linked to Mann’s office
