Hyd: IndiGoReach sets up skill development centre at Shadnagar

Hyderabad, Oct 31 (UNI) IndiGoReach, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of IndiGo, has set up a skill development centre at Shadnagar, outskirts of Hyderabad in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation to train rural and economically disadvantaged youth for employment opportunities in the travel, tourism, logistics and hospitality sectors.
The centre was inaugurated on Friday as part of the initiative to improve employability through industry-oriented training programmes, the airline said in a statement.
The programme, launched in August 2024, aims to train more than 5,000 youth over the next three years through residential hospitality training courses at centres in Hyderabad, Jodhpur and Jalpaiguri.
The Hyderabad facility will serve as a dedicated training hub for travel, tourism, logistics and hospitality (TTLH), addressing the growing demand for skilled manpower in these sectors and creating a pool of job-ready candidates for the regional employment market.
Rohini Bhatia, Chairperson of InterGlobe Foundation and Advisor to the CSR Committee of IndiGo, said the initiative was aimed at equipping young people with industry-relevant skills and enabling them to pursue sustainable livelihood opportunities.
She said the programme would help youth acquire the skills, confidence and knowledge required to build careers in the growing travel, tourism, hospitality and logistics industries.
Representatives of IndiGoReach, Pratham Education Foundation, industry partners, trainees and alumni attended the event.
