Hyd: Two wanted in cyber slavery offences arrested

Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) Two wanted accused persons who were involved in entrapping Indians and sending them to work in cyber scam centres in Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and other Southeast Asian countries, were arrested as a result of constant tracking by the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB).
In the month of March and April of this year 23 cases were registered at various police stations in Telangana on the complaints of cyber victims who had returned to India from Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos and were trapped in illegal cyber fraud call centers, said Shika Goel, Director, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, TG, Hyderabad, in a release here on Saturday.
One 36-year-old accused Kolanati Nagashiva alias James, resident of Jeedimetla, Hyderabad is involved in three cases in CCPS Nizamabad and Armoor Police station in Telangana and is absconding since the registration of cases.
When the accused, from Laos, reached Kolkata Airport recently, he was intercepted at NSCBI Airport, Kolkata on the LOC originated by SP, Operations, TGCSB, Telangana in two cases of CCPS, Nizamabad.
The accused was taken into custody by CCPS, Nizamabad Inspector and team on Transit Warrant issued by the Additional CJM, Barrackpore, North 24 Paraganas, West Bengal.
The other accused Hithesh Arjana Soumya (29 ), resident of Porbandar, Gujarat, who is also wanted in Cyber Slavery cases in Telangana was also arrested from Delhi.
Accused Hitesh was repatriated from Myanmar along with some cyber slavery victims by MHA and he is found to be involved in two cyber slavery cases registered in Manakonduru Police station, Karimnagar and Khanapur Police station, Nirmal District.
The TGCSB team, who went to Delhi on special task to bring the repatriated cyber victims, identified the accused Hitesh and alerted Manakonduru Police for effecting the arrest.
TGCSB Director Shika Goyel, appreciated the TGCSB and Manakonduru Police Station, Karimnagar teams who are instrumental in the arrest of the wanted accused in Cyber Slavery Cases.
TGCSB remains committed to identifying and apprehending all individuals involved in cyber slavery and fraud through coordinated efforts at the domestic and international levels, it said in a statement.
