Impro Theatre Workshop concludes in a blaze of creativity

Thiruvananthapuram, May 19 (UNI) The Impro Theatre Workshop, led by Manoj Shiva and organized by the Centre for Arts and Cultural Studies (CACS), concluded on a high note at Vismayasmax.
The two-day event was a vibrant celebration of spontaneous storytelling, culminating in three striking performances of improvised plays.
One of the highlights was Shishira Nadatham, originally penned by Mr.C Rahim. The performers reimagined and brought the story to life through live improvisation, captivating the audience with its emotional depth and immediacy.
Another powerful act unfolded from a story thread on the tragic killings in Pakistan. The artists transformed this narrative into a compelling improvised play, delivering a performance that was both poignant and thought-provoking.
A music improvisation session also stood out, resonating deeply with the audience through its raw and expressive energy.
Complementing these were a series of impromptu performances in music, poetry, and acting—each adding a unique texture to the event and reflecting the rich potential of improvised art.
Renowned actor Kaladharan Mash, acclaimed cinematographer Azhagappan, and other eminent guests graced the occasion as chief guests, lending their support and encouragement to the emerging talents.
The workshop concluded with a spirit of artistic freedom and collaboration, offering participants and audiences alike a memorable experience of the limitless world of improvised theatre.
