IT fraternity's arts and lit fest award ceremony to be held on June 25

Thiruvananthapuram, June 23 (UNI) The award ceremony of 11th edition of ‘Srishti,’ the biggest arts and literature festival of the IT community in Kerala, will be held at Technopark here on June 25.
‘Srishti’ is organised by Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum of IT employees in Kerala.
Malayalam Mission Director, poet and lyricist Murukan Kattakkada will present the awards to the winners at the Travancore Hall of Technopark at 5 pm. Jury Member Gopi Kottoor will also attend.
The festival had competitions in different literary genres like short story, poetry and essay in Malayalam, English, Hindi and Tamil, besides arts competitions in pencil drawing, cartoon and painting (water colour).
More than 300 creative works were received from around 200 from IT employees working in Kerala.
Every year, the event gets more than 400 entries and an expert panel comprising noted writers selects the best works submitted by the participants. All categories will be given awards, apart from special Readers’ Choice Awards.
Writers and poets who had attended the previous editions of ‘Srishti’ award ceremony include V Madhusoodhanan Nair, Kureeppuzha Sreekumar and Prof Chandramathi (2014); Subhash Chadran (2015); Ezhacheri Ramachandran (2016); Benyamin (2017); Kureeppuzha Sreekumar and Ms KR Meera (2018); Santhosh Echikkanam (2019); Satchidanandan (2020); Ms Sara Joseph (2021); S Hareesh (2022); and GR Indugopan (2023).
A book festival organised by Chintha Publications and the release of books penned by techies will also be held on the sidelines of the event.
