J&K: Police in Barmulla conduct checking drives at mobile, SIM, pesticide shops

Srinagar, Oct 5 (UNI)Police in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir conducted checking and inspection drives at various business establishments to ensure compliance with prescribed regulations and prevent unlawful activities.
Police said the checking and inspection was conducted in the jurisdictions of Police Station Baramulla and Police Post Wussan.
Police Station Baramulla inspected mobile phone shops, SIM vendors and pesticide/insecticide dealers, while Police Post Wussan checked mobile repair shops and mobile phone sellers.
During the inspections, shopkeepers and vendors were directed to maintain all mandatory records and registers, including complete customer and device details, as required under rules.
Police also asked the establishments to remain vigilant against suspicious transactions and activities and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to prevent the misuse of mobile phones, SIM services and pesticides/insecticides for illegal purposes.
Police said such checking and inspection drives will continue across the district to strengthen regulatory compliance and prevent the misuse of commercial services and products.
