Kakinada SP Inspects Polling Booths Ahead of Local Body Elections

Kakinada, Oct 13 (UNI) Kakinada District Superintendent of Police Bindu Madhav on Tuesday inspected polling booths in several gram panchayats and reviewed security arrangements ahead of the forthcoming local body elections, directing officials to address shortcomings to ensure peaceful and orderly polling.
The SP visited polling booths under Vetlapalem, Hussainapuram, Panasapadu and Achampeta gram panchayats and examined infrastructure facilities, security measures, voter entry and exit routes, traffic management and barricading arrangements.

He asked police and revenue department officials to coordinate closely, rectify the deficiencies identified during the inspection and complete all necessary arrangements well ahead of polling.
Special Branch DSP K.V.V. Satyanarayana, Samalkot Circle Inspector A. Krishna Bhagavan, booth-level officers, panchayat secretaries, women police personnel and local police staff accompanied the SP during the inspection.
