Kerala: Drug peddler arrested with 900 gm of MDMA in Palakkad

Palakkad, May 6 (UNI) Excise department sleuths on Tuesday arrested a drug peddler from a KSRTC bus near Valayar toll plaza here and seized 900 grams of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) worth around Rs two lakh from his possession.
According to Excise sources, they arrested Dikshith (26) of Parappukkara near Mukundapuram in Thrissur district.
The youth had brought MDMA from Bangalore and was travelling in a tourist bus up to Coimbatore and then he used KSRTC bus to arrive at Palakkad.
The seized drugs were kept in plastic cover and he confessed that he was on the way to Thrissur from Palakkad for sale of contraband during the two-day Thrissur Pooram festival days, today and tomorrow.
Following this, Thrissur Excise team conducted a raid at his house on the direction of Palakkad officials at Parappukkara and seized one kilogram of ganja and 10 grams of MDMA from the house.
