Telangana : three women among fourteen Maoist cadres surrender before Kothagudem police

Kothagudem, May 6 (UNI) As many as fourteen cadres of the CPI (Maoist) party, including three women Maoists, surrendered before police officials here on Tuesday.
Sodi Budra of Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh and Kalama Idime alias Radhika of Cherla in Kothagudem district were the area committee members of PLGA 10th of South Gadchiroli DVC of Maharashtra and Wazedu-Venkatapuram Area Committee.
Except for Kalama Idime, all other surrendered naxalites were hailing from Chhattisgarh State.
Impressed with the welfare and development activities being implemented by Telangana police and the government, the Maoists surrendered to police, the SP said.
Since January 2025, as many as 227 Maoists of different ranks have surrendered before Kothagudem police and CRPF officials, the SP added. UNI KNR SSP
