Kodanda Reddy accuses KTR, Harish Rao of land and farmhouse irregularities

Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) Telangana Farmers' Agriculture Commission Chairman Kodanda Reddy on Monday alleged that former ministers K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao had misused their positions and violated rules in connection with farmhouse constructions.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Kodanda Reddy alleged that Harish Rao, while serving as a minister, constructed a farmhouse in the Himayat Sagar buffer zone.
He further alleged that KTR built a farmhouse after narrowing a drain carrying rainwater from Pulkapur Nala towards Gandipet.
Referring to the Janwada property, Kodanda Reddy said an individual named Pradeep Reddy had claimed that he had given the farmhouse to KTR and identified himself as his friend.
He questioned whether different laws were being applied to ordinary people and political leaders.
He alleged that the previous BRS government had misused the Dharani land records system and accused its leaders of irregularities involving assigned, government and temple lands.
Kodanda Reddy said the Congress government had promised to curb such alleged irregularities and provide justice to the poor through the Bhu-Bharathi initiative.
He alleged that KTR and Harish Rao had attempted to discredit Bhu-Bharathi.
He also alleged that Telangana's resources had been misused during the previous BRS regime and said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's recent speech in the Assembly on land-related issues was significant.
Referring to the Janwada farmhouse issue, Kodanda Reddy questioned the circumstances surrounding the property and sought an explanation from KTR regarding its ownership. UNI VV SAS
