Nagpur, Oct 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today assured Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff of adequate security following an alleged firing incident in Mumbai, asserting that the police were working to identify and arrest those responsible at the earliest.
Addressing a press conference here, he said he had spoken to the actor and assured him that all necessary security measures would be taken, saying that there was no reason for him to feel threatened.
Describing the perpetrators as 'cowards' who operate from concealed locations and issue threats through communication channels, the Chief Minister said the authorities took every threat seriously and acted accordingly.
Fadnavis, who also holds the Home portfolio, expressed confidence in the Mumbai Police, describing the force as professional and committed to bringing criminals to justice.
He said the Mumbai police would track down the culprits and arrest them soon.
Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped injury on Sunday evening when unidentified persons allegedly opened fire at his car as he was leaving a football club in Mumbai’s Juhu area around 7 pm.
