Pune, June 8 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday inaugurated the new administrative building of Mahaurja here.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that all government offices in the state will start using solar energy by December 2025 and the Prime Minister's Surya Ghar Yojana will be implemented effectively in the state, he informed.
Fadnavis said that the Mahaurja has two important goals in the coming time. One is to accelerate the use of solar energy in all government offices and second is the state scheme associated with the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana to be implemented in the state.
He said that all consumers of electricity up to 100 units and all consumers up to 300 units will be transferred to solar energy in the first phase and the second phase respectively.
Subsequently, the electricity bills of consumers using electricity up to 300 units will be brought to zero, he added and expressed confidence that Mahaurja will fulfil both these goals.
