Maha: Fadnavis inaugurates Pushpalata D Y Patil Hospital in Pune

Pune, June 8 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday inaugurated Pushpalata D Y Patil Hospital at Ambi-Tarangwadi in Maval taluka of the district.
Speaking at the function, he said that the state government has decided to restructure the health services in the state.
He emphasised that the focus of the government will be on creating a network of primary health services throughout the state to reduce pressure on referral services with specialised treatment.
Along with focusing on primary health in the state, second-level health services will also be strengthened, he said.
There are government hospitals, universities and private hospitals for specialised treatment, he informed and said that efforts are being made to invest a lot in the health sector.
In the last few years, 10 medical colleges have been started and such colleges will be set up in every district, he said and noted that this shows a large expansion and quality in the education sector.
The Chief Minister said that the work of properly implementing various schemes of the state government is done through the university.
Fadnavis said that the university should start similar work and set up hospitals and educational complexes at new places.
As there is a role of social service behind it, the government will provide all possible cooperation, he assured.
The government has also decided to reimburse the fees of medical education for girls, he added.
