Maha: Two from UP drown in Pune dam

Pune, June 8 (UNI) Two youths from Uttar Pradesh were drowned while swimming in waters of Bhusi dam in Lonvala town of the district on Sunday.
Police said that two youths from Uttar Pradesh went for swimming in the dam and drowned in the afternoon.
The deceased have been identified as Sahil Ashraf Ali Sheikh and Mohammad Jamal, both originally from Uttar Pradesh and they had come to Lonavala for work.
Lonavala City Police inspector Suhas Jagtap along with the Shivdurg team and local youth reached the spot, launched search for them and recovered their bodies.
The families of both the deceased youths have been informed about the incident.
Further investigation is underway.

Pune, June 8 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday warned that if any evidence is found against inspector general of police, Prisons and Corrections Service, Jalindar Supekar, of his alleged involvement in helping the Hagavane family or corruption worth Rs 500 crore, then appropriate action will be taken.
